The procedure typically involves these steps:

The first step is to have a consultation with a plastic surgeon who is experienced in performing this procedure. Your surgeon will evaluate your body, including the areas that may be suited to ultrasound-assisted liposuction (for harvesting the fat used to enlarge your breasts). In addition, you will discuss your own goals for the procedure.
The location of your surgery will depend on your specialist. With my patients, I perform Geneva breast augmentation in a state-of-the-art surgery theater under general anesthesia. The surgery begins with lower body sculpting through liposuction. I use highly efficient ultrasound-assisted liposuction through tiny incisions in order to harvest a sufficient amount of fatty tissue and to obtain very harmonious lower body contours.
The next part of the surgery involves the process of transferring the fat to the breasts. I use a technique that combines the purified fat cells with stem cells and “adipose-derived regenerative cells” (ADRCs) into a cell-enriched fat graft. This cell-enriched fat graft is then placed in the breast through minute injection points and by this, both its volume and shape are enhanced.
The complete procedure varies between 2 to 4 hours. It may be performed as an outpatient procedure or, in other situations, I may recommend the patient to remain in the hospital for a day for optimal recovery.
