Breast enlargement caused by birth control pills?

I am now taking a birth control pill called Yasmin. At first it gave me some stomach aches that went away after the first week. But now I am noticing some other symphoms: Breast enlargement! Mine are not so big, so I would not complain about this at all in normal circunstances. However the right breast is getting bigger than the left one!! So I want to ask if anybody knows if this is “normal”, or if it has happened before with any of you, girls or anybody else that you know. If I discontinue taking the pill, will the breasts get back to normal (I mean, both equal and/or the same size as before). And if I continue, could it be that they end up getting the same size or will continue to grow differently? Thanks a lot!

I am rather large-chested, and I STILL grew with Yasmin. It’s totally normal. Most women have one breast larger than the other, so I wouldn’t be too concerned. You may even out, especially if you just started taking the pill, so give it a little time. If there is a big difference in size between your breasts, you may want to see your doctor to make sure it isn’t some sort of hormone-sensitive tumor that’s led to your increased growth. Your breasts should return to normal if you stop taking the pill, unless your increased breast size was due to weight gain in which case you will have to work to lose the weight before your breast size will decrease.
