I continue to receive emails from people in Sierra Leone who want my bank info. What is this about?
These emails generally tell me that they are wealthy people who want to be able to transfer their fortunes out of the country and will pay me a huge amount if I will help me do that.
1. Who do you think writes these emails?
2 Why do I get hundreds of them from different people but mostly from somewhere in Africa?
3. Any idea of what I can do to rid myself of these nuisance emails?

Bic: Try answering my “real question” please. I do not open attachments from people I dont know. When opening Outlook Express, the messages open automatically whether I want them opened or not. I have no way of knowing how to filter these out.

Many African nations are still 3rd world, and their crime task units are understaffed and poorly trained. it’s very hard for these criminals to be brought to justice since there’s no real system of jurisprudence.
3. Any idea of what I can do to rid myself of these nuisance emails?
You can block each email address individually, or if your email client allows it, you can use “junk word filter” and find an uncommon word in each email and tell your email client to delete every incoming message with that word in it.

most people get some form of spam. the rule is, the more you signup for different services, the more online forms you fill out, the more websites your email appears in… the more spam you will recieve.
